He said that Gates's statement coupled with the statement of Richard Hollbrook has exposed the US intentions and designs in the region. Dr Akhtar pointed out that why the US was turning a blind eye towards Indian terrorism in Kashmir where they had killed 100,000 innocent Muslims. "India is behind the terrorist activities in Waziristan and Balochistan and solid proofs are also available in this regard but the US is not ready to take notice of it," he said.
The statement of the US defence minister has exposed the hollowness of Pak-US friendship and it should be an eye-opener for Pakistani rulers. He urged the rulers to learn lesson from Gates's statement as the US was the friend of India not Pakistan. Pakistan should back out from alliance with the US on war against terrorism and warn it against any further drone attack on Waziristan, he said.
